Tethered to his father’s ambition,13-year-old tennis prodigy Felice embarks on a national tournament circuit under the mentorship of Raul, a washed-up former champion. As they journey along the coast, the pair discover an unlikely affinity, allowing Felice to break free from his father’s rigid expectations while Raul finds a long-buried spark of redemption. 

Blending the visceral energy of Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers with the whimsical grit of Little Miss Sunshine, Il Maestro is a poignant, cross-generational journey that deconstructs the myth of masculinity through the quiet power of shared healing.
