IT specialist Taavi (Märt Pius) and his teacher wife Liisa (Steffi Pähn) are suddenly faced with the question: What to do when one morning they have an absurdly large amount of money in their bank account – a whopping 50 million Euros. Director Rain Rannu’s earlier film Free Money dealt with the gold rush of the crypto era and the characters’ quest to get rich at any cost. New Money takes that narrative further focusing on what happens next, how to deal with sudden good fortune in a world shaped by financial anxiety, digital deception and the everyday reality of scam calls that prey on both fear and greed.
