This highly acclaimed film is a poignant drama centred around an eight-year-old transgender child exploring identity during a summer in the Basque countryside, using beehives as a metaphor for diversity, while her mother and other women in the family also confront their own identities, touching on gender, family and linguistic nuances. Debutant filmmaker Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren leads viewers into the precarious reality in this delicate coming-of-age story.
